Joe Dellinger's chief contribution to Commission Control once lived here, summoned by the 'index' button.
When this project was fresh, in 1999, Joe was compiling a rather large HTML page that linked to hundreds of news articles and analytical essays related to the NATO bombardment of the former Yugoslavia, and background on the war. As these links have mostly disappeared, the webpage is no longer maintained.
Unlike mainstream news sources, Joe's index provided links to information coming out of the war zone, mostly via the Internet. As such it challenged news consumers, who had become accustomed to the sanitized media of previous wars, to sort through the truth claims from both sides of the conflict.
Apart from this defunct list, some links to news content have been preserved. Originally, all the offsite news pages were loaded in pop-up windows, but since most browsers block pop-up windows by default, this has been changed.
